Pink reachstacker champions breast cancer awareness in Norway
When Nordtrafikk approached Kalmar Norway about adding another reachstacker to their fleet, they had something extraordinary in mind. During discussions about colour options and delivery timing, an inspiring idea came up.
Learning that the delivery would likely take place in October 2024, Nordtrafikk's General Manager, Jørgen Sollie, made a bold declaration:
"We're definitely going PINK!"
The decision was clear – this machine would become a powerful symbol in support of the Pink Ribbon campaign.
The project quickly gained momentum, with Bredo Steen-Gundersen, Country Director, Kalmar Norway working closely with the production team in Stargaard to achieve the perfect shade of pink. Seeing the finished machine in person confirmed what we already knew – this collaboration between Kalmar and Nordtrafikk would make a meaningful impact on breast cancer awareness.

Cancer touches everyone's life in some way. Whether it's personal experience, family members, friends, neighbours, or colleagues affected by cancer, its impact is far-reaching. This shared experience drove Kalmar Norway and Nordtrafikk to take action, using this pink machine as a visible symbol of support for cancer awareness and research.
According to the Norwegian Cancer Society, over 4,000 women in Norway receive a breast cancer diagnosis annually. This news instantly transforms their lives, leaving many to grapple with the question: "What now?" The diagnosis brings both physical and emotional challenges.
While modern medicine has made significant strides – with nine out of ten patients now surviving breast cancer and experiencing fewer side effects than before – the fight is not over. Each year, more than 600 Norwegian women still lose their lives to breast cancer, reminding us why continued awareness and support are crucial.
We have created a digital fundraiser for all those wishing to contribute in Norway:
