Our biggest environmental impacts are related to climate change and circularity, as we need natural resources to run our business, and CO2 emissions are generated in almost all parts of our value chain. We see these challenges as an opportunity to improve our own business and our entire industry - while capturing profitable growth.
Our approach
Climate
We are committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in line with the 1.5°C warming scenario, which is the most ambitious goal of the Paris Agreement.
Circularity
We foresee many opportunities to contribute to a circular economy while capturing profitable growth through new business models and solutions. Our main circularity work focuses on product design and expanding the lifetime of our products.
Eco Portfolio
Kalmar’s Eco Portfolio supports our commitment to be a 1.5°C company by highlighting the equipment, services and software that improve our customers’ sustainability and drive the transition to a low-carbon world.
Other environmental impacts
We also monitor, address and report on other environmental impacts and emissions. In our daily operations, the ISO 14001 environmental management system provides guidance on how to manage our local environmental impacts.
